Happy Monday y’all! To start off this week, we are taking a look at a transitional home in Winter Park, Florida. Designer Ashley Martin bought this home fully willing to take on a major renovation! She quickly transformed every inch of the space to create the perfect home for her and her family. Design-wise, Ashley wanted to create a cohesive feel throughout the home by combining modern and traditional elements while using a transitional aesthetic. Her main plan was to lighten and brighten the space while updating everything. Let’s go take a look!

The balance of traditional and modern is very apparent in this kitchen. Some of our favorite features are the dark green cabinets paired with the wood tone island, the sleek modern hood, and the matte black faucet, fixtures, and hardware. Such a cohesive space!

This sitting room is one of our favorite spaces. Some of elements in this room is the wood work on the ceiling, light fixture and combination for textures in the materials chosen. This looks like just the right space to cozy up and read a book!

We love a good set of built-ins! These are the perfect pair for this living room, an ample amount of storage and a great way to feature the fireplace. We love the way Ashley styled these shelves!

What a relaxing bedroom! Absolutely obsessed with the lightness and brightness of this space! Also, how cool is this light fixture? I want one in my bedroom.

I’m always a big fan of a crisp and clean bathroom! You can never go wrong with a freestanding tub or a rain shower head.
