And its going to be oh so glorious when I am through with it. If that day ever comes. If you are like me, you change your mind 24/7 and are never fully ever “done” with your house. Its always evolving and changing. In case you missed the home tour I shared in stories, head over to my instagram and check out my highlight bubble “Tuliptree”. From here on out, you can follow along and see all of the progress using the hashtag #ProjectTuliptree on instagram. We are so excited to start this fun adventure. We feel so blessed to be able to buy our first home not only in our first year of marriage- but also IN A PANDEMIC! What a blessing this is for us!! We are just so excited. I cant say that enough.

To start off- I want to share our trailer video for the house. This was actually something that Taft, my husband, surprised me with the day after we closed on the house. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary 4 days after we closed on the house, and this was one of the things he gave me. Thanks to Eli Greiss for this cool video showing off our little “fixer upper”. There are so many things to talk about, gush and goo over, and plan for so lets just start off with the PROPERTY!

Its funny. I have lived in Nashville my entire life- since preschool. I grew up in Franklin, a charming historic town that (used to be) Americas best kept secret- not so much anymore! EVERYONE and their mom is moving here. I have mixed emotions about it, but I won’t elaborate more on that- LOL. Franklin has changed SO much the last 5-10 years especially. New developments popping up left and right. Homes, retail, restaurants- you name it. Our new home is located about 15 minutes southwest of Nashville, a stones throw from Franklin, in an area called Bellevue. Growing up, Bellevue was the furthest thing from a “hot area of town”, but oh how things have changed. Just like everything in Nashville, Bellevue is getting its own facelift. It’s the fastest growing city after all, and is the most sought after neighborhood in the suburbs. How we ended up getting our dream house in such a hot market- we have no idea. But we ain’t complaining!!

Our home sits on about .3 acres of land, HOWEVER, our lot shares “common area” with the neighborhood which pulls in over an acre of land that we can call “ours” since its all apart of our backyard. We are not planning on fencing any of our lot line in because well— we like to think that its all ours anyways. Ha! *queue the begging from Taft to convince me to get a dog for the backyard*. Anyways, the neighborhood is full of kids, young families, quiet streets, and has everything we wanted for our first home. Its cute, when we have been over to the house to check progress, almost every time we see a slew if kids playing in the creek on the side of the house.  We love it- it feels so fun!!

Here is a quick run down of the specs of the home:
