Home Crush: Blending the Old with the New!
Happy Monday everyone! Today’s Home Crush features a renovated 1920’s Tudor home and it may be one of my favorites! The designer, Whittney Parkinson, paid special attention to preserving the historical integrity of the home and seamlessly blending the old with the new. I am in love with all the details used to create this modernized Tudor home. Check it out!
This kitchen is stunning. There are so many details I love: the massive hood with the corbel detail, the butcherblock top on part of the island, the mix of the cream and blue shades, that gorgeous countertop. It is modernized without being trendy.
The bathrooms in this home are to die for, especially this primary bath, which even has an original fireplace in it! Can you imagine soaking in that clawfoot tub with the fire next to you? A dream! The brass fixtures in this space are so beautiful.
Another example of how stunning the bathrooms in this home are through these secondary baths. The wallpaper and sink in the powder bath is so unique and I love the traditional, neutral feel of the other secondary bath.
I love the dramatic shade chosen for the built-ins in the mudroom! It is so out of the ordinary without being too in your face. It brings an unexpected touch of color in this home.
I hope you loved touring this weeks Home Crush! Have a wonderful week! Xoxo
