Home Crush: A Super Chic D.C. Town Home
Happy Monday! I'm back with another Home Crush to share with you! Today, we'll take a look inside a sleek and tranquil townhome in Washington, D.C. Let's take a look inside!
I adore the sense of character that pervades this stunning home. The fireplace is a show-stopper, with its charm and elegant details on the mantel and chimney. The room's focal point is the checkerboard tiling inside the fireplace, which is accentuated by the monotone color scheme of creams and bright whites.
Stepping into the kitchen, I really enjoy the contrast from the light oak chevron flooring. Natural light is abundant because of the large windows. The island, which is made of black and white marble, is absolutely stunning! The eccentric pendant lights give the room a little more personality. In the breakfast nook, a concrete dining table grounds the area. I really like the way the designers combined it with the caned back chairs. Cream-colored wall art and woven pillows on the banquette add texture to this area and give the space depth and character.
The monochrome palette in the master bedroom produces a calm and serene atmosphere. The antique fireplace with whitewashed herringbone stones is stunning, especially against the light natural wood framing.
The master bathroom has light oak chevron flooring that is seen throughout the house. I really like how this looks with the putty-white cabinetry. The bathroom features merged cabinetry and console sinks, by continuing a slab of stone as the surface. Lastly, I adore the penny tiles from floor to ceiling and the enormous marble mirror with its scalloped detailing.
I hope you loved today’s Home Crush! Have a great rest of your week! Xoxo
