Home Crush: Vanessa Hudgens's Colonial Home
Hello lovelies, happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving. With the cold weather finally starting to settle in, I wanted to focus on a home in a warmer climate this week. I stumbled upon Vanessa Hudgens’s home in Los Feliz while scrolling through Pinterest, and knew I just had to share it with y’all. Interior designer, Jake Arnold and her co-star Ashley Tisdale, both helped her design this beautiful colonial home in Los Feliz, a neighborhood adjacent to the Hollywood Hills.
Vanessa’s original idea for her living room was a monochromatic white look with hints of cream and a huge comfy white couch. However, she soon realized a soft feminine vibe was what she wanted in her living room. She acquired this gorgeous vintage soft pink sofa from a vintage store. The piano she had in her previous home, and the green side chairs were pieces that Tisdale helped her find. I love the shape of her fireplace, plus the natural woods and textures are amazing in this space. It definitely has hat soft femme feel with her dainty décor, curved lines, and muted color palette.
I absolutely love her kitchen space, which she just recently renovated during the pandemic, She painted her cabinets this stunning green color, got new hardware, updated her countertops to a white Carrera, and took the leftover tile from her master bath and used that for a backsplash. The vibe of her kitchen space is very old-world eclectic. In her kitchen, we see sleek lines and new appliances being contrasted with vintage area rugs, rugged beams and shelving, and worn tables and chairs. Her kitchen has the Jake Arnold touch with the concrete vent above her range, and stoneware placed throughout. In her dining space, the chandelier bought from 1st dibs, and the vintage mirror add a hint of those femme vibes to her eating area. Can we also take a moment for the oversized pampas grass in the corner of her dining area? Obsessed!
This breakfast nook is amazing. The bold wallpaper, leather banquette, and vintage dining chairs give me very much French café vibes. The wallpaper is from House of Hackney and the chandelier is a vintage 1950’s pendant light. Her inspiration for this space was Maison Premiere, a bar in Brooklyn.
For the master suite, Hudgens wanted to create “cave vibes.” What better way to take a relaxing bath than with a ceramic tub and a dark moody vibe. The grey ceramic tub is gorgeous, and matte black paint accentuates the walls. I love that arched entryway leading to the bathtub. The vintage chair and candlesticks are serving Gothic-century vibes and that all adds to the dark and moody vibe she was going for. Lastly, the black cabinets paired with a beautiful thick slab of marble finish off the look.
Hope you loved today’s home crush, it was for sure one of my faves! Have a great start of the week! Xoxo!
